The second day starts with a morning boat ride on the Ganges with which you will observe the city come to life with devotees going about their daily routines. After breakfast, head back to the hotel and proceed to Sarnath, the location of Lord Buddha's first sermon.
Visit important locations like the Ashoka Pillar, the Dhamek Stupa, and the Sarnath Museum. See the Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, and Bharat Mata Temple, among other notable temples. Take a small walk around the ghats in the evening and take in the customs and everyday activities of the city. See the traditional music or dance performance to cap off the day before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Visit the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and explore the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum, which has an extensive collection of artwork and antiquities on the next day. Next, you can visit the Ramnagar Fort which is located on the Ganges' eastern bank and provides an insight into Varanasi's ancient architecture dating back to its royal past.
